The Opportunity Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) is at the core of our Hybrid Cloud strategy, enabling customers to run Nutanix AOS and AHV seamlessly across public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. We are looking for an experienced System Test Engineer to lead critical cloud subsystem qualifications and innovate on our test automation frameworks. In this role, you will ensure the reliability of mission-critical workloads in a dynamic hybrid cloud environment, acting as a "Release Marshal" who implements quality gates and oversees seamless production deployments. This is an opportunity to lead quality strategy, advocate for testability in early design phases, and mentor a growing engineering team.

Your Role
  • Lead the end-to-end quality strategy and release criteria for NC2 on AWS and Azure, including Multi-Cloud Manager and Cloud Agents.
  • Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and Pytest to ensure the reliability of the Multi-Cloud Control Plane.
  • Act as a "Release Marshal," implementing quality gates and overseeing production deployments for bi-weekly releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for testability in early design phases and identify opportunities for cloud cost optimization.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster technical growth and best practices within the quality organization.
What You Will Bring
  • 4+ years in System Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles, with 3+ years specifically in Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS or Azure core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3).
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation, including experience with frameworks like Pytest.
  • Solid understanding of virtualization, storage, networking, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Work Arrangement Hybrid/Remote (for roles advertised in both RTO & non-RTO locations e.g United States, Mexico, Canada): Subject to business requirements, this role may be determined to be remote or in a hybrid capacity. If the selected candidate resides within 50 miles of a Nutanix office requiring in-office presence (specifically in San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, or Tokyo), it will require working onsite a minimum of three days per week. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by the hiring manager.
Pay Transparency - Role Location The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $122,400 and CAD $183,600 per annual.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
